Tahirul Qadri departs for London

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri departed for London on Thursday morning.

The PAT chief boarded a Turkish Airline flight for London from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

According to party sources, Qadri will participate in various organisational programmes and will also be hosting several lectures at various British universities during his visit.

The PAT chief’s tour of the UK will span over 22 days.

During his foreign tours, Qadri will also visit Canada for medical check-up as well as Saudi Arabia where he will perform Umrah.

Earlier on August 21 last year, the PAT chief had left for London after a brief stay.

  1. Reminds me of a cricket commentary : “He comes in, bowls, a well fleeted ball, a very good shot (by the batsman) but there is no run”. He returns, holds meetings/protests but the families of those killed are still waiting for justice.
