ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has suggested that the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) declare a minimum education of four years after intermediate or a Masters degree as compulsory for appearing in the CSS.
The decision has been taken in response to the FPSC examinations report 2014, 2015 and 2016 that mentions the poor performance and pass percentage of the candidates in the CSS examination.
In this regard, the HEC has also written a letter to the heads of public sector universities across the country to organize special classes, workshops and seminars for students interested in appearing for CSS exams.
According to the letter, the universities have been informed that the HEC has suggested that the FPSC establish “Career Counseling Units” in the higher educational institutions with an aim to search suitable students for CSS.
It is pertinent to note that the FPSC report recently released about the performance of the contestants had shown a poor performance, with only 2.09 passing percentage.
