ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Wednesday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is working on a “big agenda of institutional reforms”, including judicial reforms.
Talking to a private TV channel, the state minister said that the judicial reforms were aimed at providing cheap and speedy justice to the people.
The PML-N would again get a majority of votes in next general election and continue its agenda of reforms, he added.
He said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had no personal agenda, rather he wanted to strengthen the system. He said Nawaz was the head of the party and he would remain connected with the people through the party’s mandate.
“The state minister said it was just propaganda that the constitutional amendment was passed to make Nawaz Sharif the head of the PML-N. Work on the constitutional amendment had started long ago before the disqualification of the ouster of Nawaz,” he claimed.
