ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Shahid Khanqan Abbasi has summoned a cabinet meeting on Wednesday to discuss the country’s security and economic situation.

According to the sources, a 10-point agenda will be presented in the cabinet meeting. The decision regarding various ministries will also be discussed during the meeting.

The posting of new Inspector General (IG) for Sindh is also expected to be further discussed in the cabinet meeting.

Earlier on January 10, a meeting of the federal cabinet had approved the appointment of Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti as the new Sindh police chief to replace the incumbent Inspector General AD Khawaja.

The appointment was made after an immense pressure from the Sindh government on the federal government to appoint Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti as the new Sindh IG.
