ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Friday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s recent meeting with Balochistan’s “puppet” chief minister is the beginning of “shameful horse-trading” for the upcoming Senate elections.

The Federal Railways Minister, Rafique, took to Twitter and said, “The recent change in Balochistan is business in the guise of democracy. Zardari harmed democracy just to garner more seats in the upcoming Senate elections”.

He was referring to the recent resignation of former Balochistan chief minister Sanaullah Zehri and his replacement with PML-Quaid’s Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. On Thursday night, Zardari chaired a meeting at the Sindh CM House as Bizenjo and his cabinet members called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Rafique continuing his criticism against Zardari said that Zardari has turned party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s PPP into a “business” adding that the PPP chief wants to make his sister Faryal Talpur, the Senate chairman to maintain their hold on affairs.

He warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders to be aware as they were also on ‘Zardaris target list,’ adding that the PML-N will foil all such moves by the PPP.  He said that Zardari has just completely destroyed the Charter of Democracy with his behaviour.

He said that the PML-N would not let the PPP conduct horse trading no matter what.

Rafique said that the same tactics were used by Zardari in the last Senate elections but could not succeed adding that if it weren’t for Bilawal, Zardari would have sold the rest of the PPP as well.
