JARANWALA: State Minister for Interior Affairs Talal Badar Chaudhry and former federal minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) public meeting in Jaranwala on Saturday (Jan 27) will beat all past records of public participation in any city.

Addressing a press conference after reviewing the arrangements for the public meeting at the Jinnah Stadium Jaranwala, they said that three big political parties could not gather as many people at the Mall Road in Lahore as PML-N alone would gather at the Jinnah Stadium.

Talal said that the PML-N would win the upcoming general elections with a majority and the next prime minister would be Muhammad Nawaz Sharif himself or his nominee. He said that Nawaz had stood up against injustice with the people of Pakistan and not for himself.

The people of Pakistan have not accepted the decision against Nawaz who gave them projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he added.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that the PML-N public meeting would prove that people of the Faisalabad district really love Nawaz Sharif who is the most popular leader.

When Nawaz Sharif started his journey on the GT Road, it was believed that such type of gatherings would not be seen again, but people of Pakistan witnessed huge gatherings in Abbottabad, Kot Momin, Haripur and Quetta, he said.

Rashid also said that people have to come out of their homes with a new passion to defeat the forces working against the democratic setup in the country.

He said that Nawaz after coming into power took positive initiatives in various sectors including energy and got the people rid of power load shedding.

“Nawaz Sharif put the country on right track and strengthened the national economy,” said Rashid while adding that the general elections of 2018 would prove that the country’s economy and development is directly linked to democracy.
