Malala’s witty reply to Stephan Fry takes the cake

Pakistan Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai’s recent Twitter exchange with the British author Stephan Fry was witty and admirable at the same time.

Fry— while sharing an article on Twitter about Apple’s recent partnership with Malala for underprivileged girls’ education — said he considered her to be “an inspiration,” however he wasn’t too happy about the Nobel Laureate’s “choice of university.”

“Had the honour of meeting Malala at a Gates Foundation event in New York last year. What an inspiration. Shame about her choice of university, but every diamond has one small flaw – it only emphasises its quality.”

However, Malala’s equally witty reply to the British master of wit just took the cake. She said, “Dear Stephan Fry, thank you for your kind words! No one is perfect but I’d be happy to give you a tour of Oxford so you can see what you’ve missed.”

Malala is studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics(PPE)at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, London.

Stephen Fry studied at Oxford’s long-standing arch-rival Cambridge University, where he often admitted to doing ‘absolutely no work’ and spending “most of his time doing drama.” The Norfolk-based broadcaster who got a 2:1 in English literature from the Cambridge University, said it would have been “an outrage” if he had got a first class degree.
