KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi while addressing a gathering at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on Wednesday announced the launch of a maritime university in Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Admiral Abbasi stated that Pakistan was blessed with unlimited resources, however, a resource like the sea was not being properly utilised.
The naval chief also said that maritime security should be overseen by one ministry instead of multiple ministries.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi is a four-star rank admiral who took charge of the Pakistan Navy as the Chief of the Naval Staff in October last year. Abbasi joined the Pakistan Navy in 1978
