PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan has directed all the divisional commissioners through the Board of Revenue to conduct a test of all the employees working in their jurisdictions on the revenue affairs regarding the implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued earlier.
In this regard, the KP Board of Revenue through a letter has asked all the divisional commissioners to conduct a test of all the employees working on the revenue side under their jurisdiction about the implementations and progress about the SOPs issued by the Board of Revenue on the directives of the chief secretary on November 10, 2017.
The SOPs were aimed to streamline, simplify and reduce the time period of the issues related to the public affairs regarding the revenue department.
The letter further stated that the revenue staff would be tested pertaining to their reporting modes, reporting channels, reporting frequency, their supervisory role, action and general timelines with focus on the said SOP’s implementation.
It also stated that the test should be conducted as early as possible and the results must be furnished to the Board of Revenue before the second week of February 2018 for its further submission to the chief secretary later.
It is pertinent to mention here that the KP Board of Revenue had formulated the SOPs on the directives of the chief secretary, wherein the affairs of the revenue department have been modified and the public complaints are to be solved in an easy way within a short period of time. The exercise is meant to assess the adaptation level of the said SOPs by the field staff of the revenue department in the entire province.
