ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday stressed that further steps should be taken to address the complaints of the public so that their problems could be resolved, and their confidence in the institutions could be enhanced.
He was talking to Federal Insurance Ombudsman (FIO) Muhammad Raeesuddin Paracha, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. On the occasion, FIO also presented the annual report 2016-2017 of his organisation, said a press release.
The president emphasised that it was the foremost priority of the government to resolve public issues. He underlined that all the institutions must fully utilise modern technology to facilitate the public so that their problems could be resolved on their doorsteps.
The president also appreciated the work of FIO for protecting the rights of insurers.
He also expressed his satisfaction over the decisions regarding the insurance policy taken during the last year and confidence of the concerned parties.
The president also directed the FIO to establish constant contacts with the government organisations, ombudsmen, investigators and non-governmental organisations regarding the awareness campaigns.
