KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) announced on Monday to arrange special Hajj (Pilgrimage) balloting for its women employees so that the female staff could also avail the opportunity to perform Hajj.
The decision was made by Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar in his office here in Karachi.
Five names were picked among the women employees who had applied for Hajj Balloting this year. These will be put on the waiting list and become alternate for the employees who had been selected earlier in the regular annual Hajj.
This is the first time that separate Hajj balloting was done by KMC for female staff.
