KHARAN: As many as two women among three members of a family died while eight others sustained injuries in a road mishap near Karag Ground area of Kharan district here on Sunday.
According to the Levies sources, the victims were on their way for a picnic in a vehicle when it overturned on the national highway due to over speeding near Karag Ground, 20 km away from Kharan town.
As a result, two women, Chandni Bibi and Nasreen Bibi, and a man, Mumtaz Ahmed, died on the spot and eight others received serious injuries. The dead bodies and the injured were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical aid. The survivors were identified as Nasrullah, Nematullah, Hikmatullah, Gull Zar Ahmed, Siraj Ahmed, Bibi Suria, Bibi Anila and Bibi Matoon.
Some of the injured were later referred to Quetta base hospital for further treatment due to their critical condition. Levies force registered a case in regard the accident.
