Investigation in 13 terrorist cases incomplete since 1998

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have failed to take 13 terrorist cases to a logical end since 1998. The figures not only speak of the volume of the Islamabad police’s competency, but also raise many eyebrows.

According to the official documents that are available with Pakistan Today, 21 terrorist cases were registered under section 7ATA (Anti-Terrorism Act) since 1998 in the federal capital, however, the police managed to submit the challans to the court after completing the investigations of only seven cases. The rest are still being investigated.

The details that emerged on Friday further state that five cases were registered at the Abpara police station, two at the Secretariat police station, three each at the Golra and Industrial Area police stations, four at the Shehzad Town police station, and one each at the Kohsar, Sabzi Mandi, Lohi Bher, and Bhara Kahu police stations.

Moreover, the police have also failed to arrest the accused in 13 terrorist cases.
