ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General (retd) Senator Abdul Qayyum has asked the British parliamentarians to raise their voice against the ongoing human rights violations in India-occupied Kashmir (IoK) in the House of Commons.

He said this during a meeting with British parliamentarians Alex Sobel and Hillary Benn, who is a former minister of Labour Party, in Leeds, United Kingdom, a press released said.

Abdul Qayyum said they promised to do the needful and also expressed their determination to recommend their government not to supply any kind of arms and ammunition to India until its 700,000 personnel committing atrocities in IoK are withdrawn.

“Since Britain was part of the Kashmir problem, it is morally bound to be part of the solution as well,” he stated,

It is crucial to mention here that General Abdul Qayyum was accompanied by senators Baz Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Daud Khan from Balochistan.
