Arms, ammunition recovered in Balochistan search operations

Security forces on Saturday recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), personnel of the Frontier Corps Balochistan conducted search operations in Dera Bugti, Kohlu and Dera Murad Jamali.

The items recovered during the operation, included submachine guns, light machine guns, mortar rounds, grenades, detonators, explosives and communication equipment, according to ISPR. Similar operations had also been conducted in the province in the recent months which led to the arrests of several miscreants and confiscation of weapons.

An ISPR statement from January 12 read that 16 suspects were arrested during intelligence-based operations in Sambaza, Sibi and Hazar Ganji areas of the province.
