Police arrest grade 2 student’s alleged molester in Kahuta

RAWALPINDI: An alleged child molester who supposedly subjected a seven-year-old boy to sexual abuse in Kahuta city’s Jama Masjid area was arrested by the police on Thursday.

The incident was reported by the child’s father Sajid Mahmood, following which the police had registered an FIR against the suspect on Thursday and had moved to arrest him.

Speaking to a private news channel, Mahmood said he was told by a neighbor – who was reportedly an eyewitness to the incident – on Wednesday that a man named Muneeb had tricked his son and molested him at his home.

“My child was very scared when he returned home,” said the father of the minor, adding that a neighbour informed him about the incident, after which he registered a case.

“We are poor people and feed our families by working hard throughout the day,” he said. “This wicked man made my son a victim of his lust,” added Mahmood.

The investigation officer of the case has said that the child’s medical examination has been conducted and the accused will be presented before the court on Friday to secure his judicial remand.

It may be noted that this incident came two weeks after the rape and murder case of minor Zainab in Kasur.
