ABBOTTABAD: At least three passengers died and 10 others were injured Tuesday when a passenger van fell into a deep ravine at Sundoor Gali point, while taking a sharp turn.
Police said the van was going to Shervan from Abbottabad, adding that three passengers, including a woman, died on the spot and ten others were critically injured.
The dead were identified as driver Fakhar Zaman, passengers Saleema Bibi, and Riaz whereas injured were identified as Shaida Bibi, Sher Bahadur, Saba, Ejaz, Azmat Bibi, Nasreen Bibi, Yasir, Liaqat, Naeem, and Irfan.
Police and locals rescued the injured and recovered the dead bodies from the vehicle and shifted them to district headquarters hospital Abbottabad.
After initial treatment doctors referred six critically injured including two females to the Ayub Medical Complex.
