KARACHI: An Italian company’s, Augustea Group, a delegation met with Sindh Governor, Muhammad Zubair, at the Governor House here on Wednesday and said that the Italian investors are keen to invest in various sectors including health, education and infrastructure development. The governor said on the occasion that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Italy is increasing both in terms of trade and investment.
This, he added, was also helping towards poverty alleviation and creation of employment opportunities here in Pakistan. Zubair said that interest on the part of Italian to invest in various sectors is a positive step.
He was of the view that the Italian investment is important for Pakistan and assured to take every possible measure for cooperation with the Italian investors.
The governor stated that the policy pursued by the present government was producing positive results in every sphere.
Zubair said that Karachi is the commercial and business hub of the country, and after an improvement in law and order and energy crisis, the city is now ideal for investment.
