MUZAFFARGARH: A 24-year-old man of Jatoi tehsil of Muzaffargarh saved his father’s life by donating part of his liver, but unfortunately passed away while failing to recover from the surgery.
According to reports, Mujahid Leghari was diagnosed with a liver disease and advised to undergo liver transplant by doctors. His son, Kamran, offered part of his liver in a bid to save his father’s life, to which the doctors as well as the family members, warned him of life-threatening complications that may follow.
The young electrical engineer despite all the warnings volunteered and took the risk of undergoing a surgery to save his father’s life.
As a result of the surgery, the father’s life was saved owing to the donated part of liver, but Kamran himself lost his life.
While the young man has been buried, the father – who is under treatment at Lahore’s Sheikh Zayed Hospital, has yet not been informed about his son’s death.
The bereaved family has buried the unmarried youngster after dressing him as a groom.
