KARACHI: Karachi police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested 20 suspects, including seven street criminals in different search operations.
According to police sources, during search operations in Zaman town, Sir Syed, Soldier Bazaar, Docks, and Preedy areas, police arrested seven street criminals, Saleem Ahmed, Akbar, Bilal, Ghayasuddin, Amir, Shahid and Ihtisham.
The police claimed to have recovered five TT Pistols with rounds, snatched mobile phones and drugs from their possession.
Docks and Sir Syed police apprehended two motorcycle lifters, Muhammad Ali, and Yaseen, and recovered two stolen motorcycles numbers KEH-1931 and NWS-3456 from them.
SITE (Sindh Industrial Trading Estate) police nab four absconders, Fazal Wahid, Zahid Ali, Sardar Ali, and Gul Khan.
During the crackdown on drug peddlers, police carried out search operations in Jamshed Quarters, Mochko, and SITE area, and detained seven drug sellers, Irfan, Huzefa, Shahid, Muhammad Nadeem, Riaz, Sarfaraz and Saleem.
The police also recovered a huge quantity of hashish, mobile phones from them.
