LAHORE: Two transgender people on Monday staged a protest at the Lahore Railway Station for not getting seats in the ladies section of the train.
The protesters, who reached Lahore from Karachi, said that the station management refused to give them seats in the ladies section over which they expressed resentment, adding that they also have identity cards.
The victims further requested the administration to create a separate compartment for them in trains so that they too can travel easily.
The video of the protest went viral over the internet after which social media users strongly bashed the railway authorities for its discrimination.
