LAHORE: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met with former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.
PM Abbasi reached Lahore airport early Monday morning where he was received by the CM after which they departed for Nawaz Sharif’s residence in Jati Umrah on a helicopter.
According to sources, the country’s political situation, party affairs and strategy for the upcoming elections were discussed in the meeting.
According to sources, Federal Railways Minister Saad Rafique and former finance minister Shaukat Tarin also attended the meeting, where the party leaders also discussed their plan to deal with the joint opposition protest starting on Wednesday.
After the meeting ended, the premier flew back to Islamabad.
