LAHORE: Following the arrest of a Czech model caught at the Lahore airport carrying nine kilogrammes of heroin, investigators from three law enforcement agencies are reportedly engaged in a ‘war’ over the custody of the woman.
Customs officials caught the 21-year-old identified as Tereza Hluskova, who was travelling to Ireland via Abu Dhabi. The model was caught after she successfully passed through two Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) checking counters at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. She was shifted to Customs House after the officials refused to hand her over to the ANF.
While the ANF and Airport Security Force (ASF) are struggling hard to get the model’s custody for interrogation, Customs officials aren’t just ready to hand the woman over to any other department.
The departments have also written official letters to each other over the matter.
The situation has aggravated to such an extent that officers from these departments have started doing legal research, leaving behind all the departmental work, just to ascertain who could win the woman’s custody.
According to the law, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) holds the right to detain and investigate the woman in this case.
Tereza, a famous Czech model, was in Pakistan on a three-month family visit visa which was issued on November 15 and valid till February 14.
