BADIN: The residents of Badin city are facing trouble and distress since they are not getting water for their daily consumption due to the incompetence and ineptitude Badin Municipal Committee administration.

The services responsible for the water supply are only supplying water in the preferred areas of the city, and the other parts of the city are still deprived of water as it is allegedly sold out to the preferred areas at a high rate.

According to the reports on the water rotation schedule on Kotri Barrage, the water was restricted for a long time due the poor management of the Municipal Committee Badin, which has not taken sufficient measures to ensure the water availability and supply to the citizens of Badin.

Several areas of the city including Shah Burhan, Gharibabad, PAF road, Ward No 05, Shanghani Muhla, Post office, Panwhar Muhla, Shahnawaz Chowk, Shahi Bazaar, Zargar Muhla, Shahbaz road and others are among the affected areas that are facing a water crisis.

By closing the main joints of the water supply of different chowks like Shahnawaz Chowk, Fruit Chowk and Mehran Chowk, the Municipal Committee is only providing the water to the preference areas including the colonies where government officials and workers have their residences.

In this connection, the citizens have demanded that the water should be provided to all the residents of the Badin city on an emergency and equal basis.
