Rawalpindi CPO orders compilation of record of minor girls’ abduction, rape cases

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi CPO Israr Ahmed Abbasi, following the orders of Punjab inspector general (IG), has formed teams in all police stations to combine and investigate all pending cases of missing minor girls’ rape and abduction.

According to details, Rawalpindi police has deputed special investigation teams under the supervision of deputy superintendents in every police station for registration of fresh cases and disposal of all pending case in Rawalpindi district. Furthermore, superintendent of police will directly monitor the performance and outcome of teams.

It is important to mention here that Rawalpindi police has been registering missing reports instead of FIRs of abductions, to avert pressure of higher authorities and public for disposal and investigation of abduction and rape cases. Now the police have started sorting out the record of all such cases and incidents in pursuance of recent instructions.
