Court moved for registration of murder case against Shehbaz, Rana Sana Ullah

LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the session court for the registration of a murder case against the Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif and law minister Rana Sana Ullah in respect of two persons killed during police firing on a protest rally staged against the murder of 7-year-old Zainab in Kasur.

PTI leader Tanzeela Imran has filed the petition and pleaded that the police at the behest of CM Shehbaz and Rana Sana Ullah targetted the protesters through direct firing during a protest rally carried out by the people to voice protest against the rape and murder of a minor in Kasur. As many as two protesters were killed as a result of the police firing.

The chief minister and the law minister have taken an oath to protect the life and property of the citizens, and the massacre of innocent people is a violation of this oath and the worst example of taking the law into their hands by the police.

She prayed to the court to issue orders for the registration of a case against both Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sana Ullah under the murder and terrorism clauses.
