- Zardari says Bilawal will be the next PM
NAWABSHAH: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday told his party workers to accelerate the election campaign, adding that he would contest the general elections from the Nawabshah constituency.
“The PPP will form the government after winning the 2018 general elections with utmost majority and serve the masses,” he told the working committee of the party after inaugurating PPP’s district secretariat in Nawabshah.
He further said that PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the next prime minister of Pakistan.
The party co-chairperson said that his major reason for coming into power was to work further on making Sindh a model province, adding that work is currently being done on completing the development projects in the province.
“We will personally monitor the ongoing development projects in Sindh and complete the ones abandoned earlier,” Zardari said, adding, “We will prove that Sindh is ahead [of all provinces] as far as development is concerned.”
He reiterated that PPP will keep its promise of providing employment opportunities, adding that Sindh will have the highest employment rate.
While addressing the inauguration of a cardiac hospital in Sahwan, PPP’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that rivals question the party’s integrity, despite Sindh government’s exemplary work for the welfare of people.
He said that in Punjab only advertisements can be seen but no real progress, adding that an incomplete hospital was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz. He said that the PPP will complete the project.
On Jan 8, in an event in Sukkur, the PPP chairman said that PPP has played an immense role to empower women, adding that the government of Asif Ali Zardari brought revolutionary programmes such as Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
