LAHORE: Members of the assembly belonging to different districts of the province called on Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday. Speaking at the occasion, the chief minister said that the government has brought a revolution of prosperity in the lives of the masses. The official resources are the trust of the people and are transparently utilised for the provision of various facilities to them.
We have always prioritised national development because Pakistan belongs to all of us and different schemes have been speedily completed in a bid to bring prosperity in the lives of the masses by ensuring full transparency during the execution of the projects, said CM Shehbaz.
He also said that we have to move further while keeping the national interests in mind for making the country stronger as the politics that revolve around personal interests, is detrimental to the nation and we should be unified in taking the country towards development and prosperity.
The chief minister said that PML-N has always given importance to national interests and all our steps aim to bring prosperity to the lives of common people. The nation wants quality healthcare and educational facilities, peace and development. We shall continue the journey towards development without wasting any moment because public service is our mission which will continue forever, he added.
CM Shehbaz reiterated that serving the masses is his commitment and all possible efforts are being made to fulfill this core agenda. He said that the elements that are involved in the undue criticism of public welfare projects are an enemy of the public because those creating hurdles cannot tolerate the welfare of the poor. Those who were boasting about the so-called revolution are actually deceiving the nation and how would they face the people because the nation shall not forget the elements who have told lies, levelled allegations and taken u-turns during the last four and a half years.
In fact, the people in the upcoming elections will reject the elements who remained engrossed in negative politics and raised hollow slogans, he added.
The chief minister said that the PML-N government has served the people dedicatedly and targets of development have been achieved in many sectors. He told the elected representatives to keep a close and continuous liaison with the people and said that the problems of the masses should be proactively solved. Similarly, the elected representatives should also play their role for the timely completion of development projects and no stone should be left unturned for solving the problems of the masses, he said.
