Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Friday commented on the criticism made on the Sindh government, saying the Sindh government has carried out exemplary work for the welfare of people, but his party’s government remains under questions by the rival political parties.

Addressing an inauguration ceremony of a cardiac hospital in Sehwan, he criticised the Punjab government, saying that in Punjab one can only see advertisements but no real progress.

In criticism against the Sharifs-led provincial government in Punjab, he said that the Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated an incomplete hospital in Lahore. However, the PPP [when in power] will complete the projects, he added.

“Now the public has to decide if they want metro or free medical treatment?” stated Bilawal.

On Monday, PPP chairman had stressed the importance of empowering women as he expressed his party’s commitment towards the women’s case of empowerment.

Bilawal remarked that PPP has played an immense role to empower women. “PPP introduced pro-women legislation,” he said, adding the government of then president Asif Ali Zardari brought revolutionary programmes– such as Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

  1. Bilawal knows better. He knows that in order to ignore progress; you first need to have some progress.
