LAHORE: Aamna Taseer, wife of late governor Salmaan Taseer, on Friday submitted an application against Samira Ahmed, ex-secretary of Mrs Taseer, for dishonouring a cheque.
In this regard, an FIR has been registered against Samira by Lahore’s Anarkali police station, a copy of which is available with Pakistan Today.
According to details, the matter is under investigation by police.
Aamna Taseer, in her application to police, informed that Samira owed Rs300,000 for which she issued various cheques. However, when one of the cheques of Rs50,000 was presented to the bank, it was informed that Samira has given instructions for stop payment, which proved that accused did not want to pay.
Late governor’s wife further informed that she has also forwarded another application to Cantt police station for fraud of Rs8.5 million, forgery, and theft of property documents against Samira, on which no action has been taken by police to date.
It’s pertinent to mention here that her husband, Salmaan Taseer, was a Pakistani businessman and a politician who served as the 26th governor of Punjab from 2008 until his assassination in 2011.
