ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Interior Chairman Senator Rehman Malik on Thursday asked the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Law to draft proposals for amendments in the existing laws in a bid to enhance the punishment for those found involved in child abuse.
In a letter to the ministries, the chairman asked for a proposal of stringent punishment “death by hanging” to the criminals of such nature to create a deterrent.
He also asked the above ministries to submit the said proposals to the meeting of the committee to be held on January 22.
