SARGODHA: The gaping scars on the conscious of the nation are still fresh when another sexual assault case has come to the fore. The body of 16-year-old Sajida, who was allegedly murdered after being subjected to sexual assault, has been recovered from a farming field in Bhalwal tehsil of Sargodha district on Thursday.
Sajida had gone to the fields for daily lavatory needs in the morning, where unidentified men strangled her to death after subjecting her to rape, said the victim’s father Mohammad Khan.
According to police, the body has been shifted to a nearby hospital, where a postmortem will be performed to reveal further details of the brutal incident.
An FIR (First Information Report) of the incident has been lodged and the investigation is underway.
