Man murdered over ‘personal enmity’ in Karachi

KARACHI: At least one person was murdered and 46 criminals were detained in various incidents in the metropolis Tuesday night.

A man named Imran was reportedly shot dead over ‘personal enmity’ by unknown men in Khayaban-e-Rumi of Karachi’s Defence locality. It is not certain as to how many assailants were present at the scene.

The deceased, who belongs to Balochistan’s Chagai district, was fired at as he was travelling with his friends in a vehicle. Two other people, identified as Hamza and Mehran, remained unhurt in the incident.

An investigation has been launched into the incident in light of the witnesses ‘account. Police also arrested 43 suspects in various raids across the city.

At least 35 suspects were taken into custody during search operations in Katti Pahari area of Orangi Town. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the arrested suspects.

Police also detained eight other suspects in a door-to-door operation in Old Golimar area of the city.

Meanwhile, the residents of Azizabad nabbed two robbers during a robbery bid and handed them over to the police.
