MULTAN: Multan president of Federal Revenue Alliance Employees Union (FRAEU) Malik Naveed Awan has appealed to the government to restore the performance allowance and double salary of employees as per the decision made in the past.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Malik Naveed said that the decision to halt the performance allowance and double salary was worrisome for employees.

He said that RTO Multan employees showed the best performance and achieved 97 percent of the revenue recovery target till Dec 31, 2017, with six months of the fiscal year 2017-18 still in spare.

Malik Naveed and other office bearers objected over the letter issued by the secretary revenue/judicial for discontinuing the performance allowance and demanded that the decision may be reversed.

When contacted, chief commissioner RTO Multan Zubair Bilal said that it was his duty to comply with the orders of the FBR authorities and added that he had conveyed the situation report to the FBR, and hopes that the matter would be resolved amicably.
