KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, on Wednesday, pledged to restore the lost splendour of Karachi with the support of its citizens.
Presiding over the party’s Karachi chapter executive meeting at Bilawal House here, the PPP head said that the 2018 general elections will be the last for those who have dragged Karachi into darkness and lawlessness.
He said ethnicity and sectarianism have been deliberately fanned in the city for petty personal interests and Karachi’s economy has been destroyed through forced strikes in the city.
“The politics of guns, threats and rigging has been buried once and for all and the PPP will bring industrial revolution in Karachi after getting elected in the 2018 elections,” said Bilawal.
He stressed upon the youth of Karachi to get ready to lead the nation and urged them to work together for the progress of the country.
On the occasion, PPP Karachi Division President Saeed Ghani, Javed Nagori, Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Syeda Shehla Raza, Raja Abdul Razzaq, Salman Abdullah Murad and district presidents were also present.
