MULTAN: A youth, named Atif, suffering from brain tumor died in a private hospital situated at the Tariq Road Multan, allegedly due to doctor’s negligence.
According to report, heirs of the deceased state that Atif was under treatment at the Nishtar Hospital where Dr Zahid advised them to shift him to his private hospital and also demanded Rs 0.3 million.
The relatives of the deceased allege that despite paying a certain amount of money the patient was left untreated and passed away due to the negligence of the hospital staff.
The relatives staged a protest against doctor’s negligence inside the hospital after his death and damaged the furniture, doors and equipment of the hospital.
Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Police also arrested four staff members of the hospital including two nurses.
