Punjab approves development schemes in PDWP meeting

LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved two development schemes of agriculture and road sectors with an estimated cost of Rs.1884.103 million.

The schemes were approved in the 44th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for the current fiscal year 2017-18 presided by the Planning and Development (P&D) chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

P&D secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the planning and development board, the concerned provincial secretaries, P&D Coordination-II assistant chief Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes included the Development of Floriculture Markets in Punjab at a cost of Rs.264.068 million and the Dualisation of Sahiwal-Arifwala Road from 2.54km to 44.66km (42.12km), district Sahiwal/Pakpattan (revised) at a cost of Rs.1620.035 million.
