PTDC to launch Islamabad city tour bus service

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) finalized all arrangements on Tuesday to launch Islamabad City Tour Bus Service (ICTBS) which will be inaugurated on Wednesday by Punjab Governor Malik Mohammad Rafiq Rajwana.

Rawalpindi Mayor, Sardar Nasim, Deputy Mayor Chaudhary Tariq Mahmood, Hanif Abbasi, Members National Assembly (MNA) Malik Abrar and Shakil Awan, Islamabad Mayor, Ansar Aziz and others are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony.

PTDC Managing Director Chaudry Abdul Ghafoor Khan also visited different sections of the main office and reviewed arrangements. He issued the necessary instructions to the officials concerned including General Manager Audit and Tourist Information Centers, Ali Akbar, General Manager Flashman, Ashfaq Lothar, Assistant Media Coordinator, Aftab Hussain, Manager Media, Mukhtar Ali and others in connection with the preparations.

Mukhtar Ali informed that a police band would perform tunes of national songs on the occasion. The PTDC office and Flashman Hotel have been beautifully decorated with national flags, banners and colourful buntings, he said. The fares of the buses would be affordable, he assured.

According to the program, the buses would take the students belonging to different educational institutions on a recreation trip to the National Monument and Faisal Mosque. Later, MD PTDC would also inaugurate the bus terminal of the service at Super Market, Islamabad.
