PPP lashes out at govt for not distributing PPP membership forms with BISP payments

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) came down hard on the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government for not distributing the membership forms of the PPP along with the payments made with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP.)

“This is dismaying,” said Dr. Nafisa Shah, member PPP central executive committee.

“That first, the League government removes the PPP flag from the program literature, then they stop distributing the membership forms along with the payments!”

“This disgusting trend started when the present government stopped the admirable ritual which involved the disbursement officers breaking into the “Dila Teer Bija” song everytime a payment was made. Then, they removed our tricolour. Then the photo. And now, a clampdown on the distribution of the membership forms!”

“By not finishing the program and retaining the original name but removing the rest of the purely political paraphernalia, the Muslim League government has shamelessly revealed that it is a political party that will show another political party’s internationally recognised leader some reverence, but only upto reasonable extent in the realpolitik. That is completely unacceptable.”
