There are 12 zodiac signs, and each sign comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses – something figured out by generations of astrologers through painstaking study of the correlation between personality traits and the position of planets, the sun, and the moon at the moment of birth.
Astrology, then, can go a long way towards our understanding of ourselves. Also, knowing in advance how and why our friends and colleagues will behave in a given situation can help immensely in dealing with them. This can conceivably help many individuals find a suitable life-partner, and some extraordinarily strong-minded people to even forgo marriage altogether.
Here then are notable personality traits and attitudes corresponding to each zodiac sign. If an individual is nothing like what is described below, consider the possibility of incorrect recoding of the date of birth on the part of the parents.
Aries (March 21- April 19): Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, although Ariens are rarely first in anything else. Even their first position here is on account of an arbitrary starting of the list at the spring solstice, which – let’s face it – has no logical basis whatever. Ariens enjoy leading others and bringing excitement into their lives – whether these others like it or not. A typical Arien is enthusiastic, goal-oriented and delusional. Aries can be very flexible: they can be men, women, even kids.
They are perfectionists at work when for a change they are not procrastinating. Taureans make very good wives; but not very good husband, especially the female Taureans
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Taureans are courageous, and fight for what they believe in. In case they don’t believe in anything, they still fight. A typical Taurean is easy going and fun to be around, but with more contact soon becomes a royal pain-in-the-neck. They are perfectionists at work when for a change they are not procrastinating. Taureans make very good wives; but not very good husband, especially the female Taureans.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Geminians have many sides to them. The younger Geminians are known for their energy. The older ones are known for their mass – which is equivalent to energy according to Einstein (who was a Piscean). They are lively and animated – noisy and raucous, according to some. Geminians will always take their lives in the direction they want to. Failing that, they assume they have successfully taken their lives in the desired direction.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): This sign is marked by contradictions and inconsistency. Cancerians enjoy security but also seek adventure. They love laughs – at others’ expense. They like labor provided it is being done by somebody else. They are quick leaners and even quicker forgetters. They are very unpredictable and always keep others guessing. They are master single- and double-bluffers. Often, they overdo it and end up deceiving themselves.
Leo (July 23 – August 22): Leos have high self-esteem and are very devoted – to themselves. They are also very kind, understanding, generous, and forgiving – when it comes to their own failings. They have but one innocent desire: they want to be a sun giving out light and warmth to the whole world, and to see everyone thriving in or at least benefitting in some degree from their radiance.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Virgo is a ‘difficult’ sign. Virgoans are very mind oriented; they are constantly analysing, thinking and critiquing. They enjoy bettering themselves and those around them. Sometimes they even succeed (in the former). They are the busiest of all zodiac signs, although it is not always clear what they are busy at.
Libra (September 23 – October 22): Librans are known for their good nature and diplomatic skills. They have exquisite and expensive tastes and work hard to accomplish their goals. They are critical-minded, and sometimes go as far as criticising their spouses. Being extremely intelligent, the males among them soon realise their mistake and backtrack diplomatically.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Scorpios are very intense. They like to question everything and work hard at making sense of things, usually unsuccessfully. They seldom let anybody know of these inner workings. They have so much stuffed up inside them that outwardly they are a picture of solidity and stability. Their sole contribution toward the solution of a crisis is their worrying about it. They can sometimes be reckless; but after making some quick calculations they readily come back to the safer route.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Sagittarians have a very positive outlook on life, which sometimes borders on insanity. They have vibrant personalities (in their own opinion) and they enjoy meeting new people (the new people don’t enjoy the experience nearly as much). No failure is big enough for them to review their abilities and/or attitude towards life.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Capricorns have sharp imaginations and see things other don’t see. Often, they see things that aren’t even there. Some hear voices as well. They have very active minds and want to be always in control of their lives, or die trying. A core trait of typical Leos is their secretive nature. They are past-masters of the arts of intrigue and double-dealing.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Aquarians don’t care what others think about them. This is for the best because others don’t usually think about them. Aquarians are studious – they are accustomed to thinking long and hard about all issues. This habit sometimes transforms into despondency, depression and a general suspicion and dislike of all humanity. They are independent and courageous; but are smart enough to run away when further resistance would be tantamount to folly. Then they wisely resort to prayers.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Pisces is the 12th and the last sign of the zodiac (and God be praised for that). Pisceans are extremely sensitive. Owing to their inability to suffer fools and the great numbers of fools in real life, they are always looking to escape from reality. They are susceptible to developing certain habits and then acting as if those habits are for the good of humanity at large. Pisceans are extremely sincere, and are unrivalled when it comes to the art of worrying.
