University, airport will be established in Hyderabad under PM package: Governor Sindh

HYDERABAD: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said on Monday that the long pending demand for a university in Hyderabad is being addressed under the Prime Minister’s development package for the second largest city of the province.

Talking to Hyderabad’s Mayor, Tayyab Hussain, about the pace of the work on a series of development projects initiated in the city under PM Package, he said that the provision of quality services is the top most priority of the federal government.

Hyderabad mayor appreciated that PM package which includes the establishment of a university, an international airport besides the development and restoration of industrial infrastructure and relevant civic facilities.

“Road transportation facilities, provision for civic amenities and infrastructure development are among the top priorities under the PM package for Hyderabad,” said the governor.

Emphasizing that the consultation of all stakeholders is important, the governor said that it will ensure that an optimum number of citizens benefit from the announced package funded by the federal government.

He agreed with the city’s mayor that the master plan prepared in 2007 for Hyderabad has to be followed in the implementation of the ongoing development work in the city so that problems faced by people are solved on strong lines.

The mayor advised to ensure alternative routes for the people using the identified development sites for their convenience with equal care that uninterrupted power, water and gas supply shall remain intact in the city. About the establishment of an international airport, he said this will connect Hyderabad to the world

Sindh governor said that honest and sincere service can help in winning the hearts of masses, and this must be the top priority of the public representatives.
