KARACHI: At least 24 more seasonal influenza cases were reported in private hospitals of Karachi, taking toll of reported cases to 28 in the city.
“All seasonal influenza cases have been reported in private hospital of the city in last few days,” confirmed Health Services Director, Karachi Dr Tahir Aziz Shaikh. Fortunately, no death has yet been reported from seasonal influenza.
Presently, diagnosing facilities are available in the private hospitals of Karachi, while no diagnosing kits are available in the public sector hospitals.
At least 24 people died have died Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan and other areas of Punjab province in the last 23 days while 114 other cases, including three doctors, were tested positive for the seasonal influenza in the southern part of province so far.
