KOHAT: The district Kohat police have foiled the kidnapping attempt of a girl and arrested two accused.
The kidnappers abducted the second year student of Government Girls High School Kamar Sar Adda, while she was on her way to school.
The police responding promptly to the incident chased the car and immediately blocked all the exit points of the district. The kidnappers were caught by the police and the girl was recovered.
DPO Abbas Majeed Marwat praised the timely action by the police and announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for the team.
In a separate development, the in-charge of the Bannu Gate police post was suspended by the DPO over unsatisfactory performance.
The DPO also issued the posting and transfer orders of several police officials including two SHOs.
