LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Advisor, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan on Monday inaugurated the SAP-ERP, an enterprise resource planning software for efficient management of human resources and financial issues in Lahore Development Authority (LDA) as per international standards.
Speaking on this occasion, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan said, “Implementation of SAP-ERP would enhance the performance of the organisation and level of public facilitation being extended by LDA.”
He underlined the need for keeping abreast latest technologies and employing new initiatives for improving service delivery by the government departments.
Earlier, giving details about SAP, LDA (HQ) Additional Director General Samia Saleem informed that through the human capital management and financial control modules of SAP-ERP, a transparent human resource and financial environment has been introduced in LDA by switching from the legacy system to integrated solutions.
The participants were informed that introduction of SAP-ERP will reduce the level of inventory through improved planning and control. It will also improve production efficiency which minimizes shortages and interruptions. Materials cost through improved procurement and payment protocols will be reduced as well.
The ceremony was participated by Additional Director Generals Zeeshan Shabbir Rana and Muhammad Khyzer Afzal Chaudhary, Chief Town Planner Khalid Mahmood Sheikh, Chief Metropolitan Planner Waheed Ahmad Butt, LDA Chief Engineer Asrar Saeed, TEPA Chief Engineer Said-ur-Rehman and other officers.
Khawaja Ahmad Hassan appreciated the efforts of different teams involved in the project and distributed shields among them.
