LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad had a detailed meeting with Oil Tanker Terminal chairman and Oil Tankers Association President Muhammad Farooq Virk at his office here in Lahore on Monday.
Safety measures for transfer of oil from one place to another were discussed in the meeting.
CTO Rai Ijaz Ahmad said on this occasion that training of oil tankers drivers is very important to protect lives of citizens. Traffic awareness banners will be displayed throughout the city from Thokar Niaz Baig to the canal road in order to educate the oil tanker drivers and road safety officers will deliver lectures to heavy traffic drivers.
He said, “We can save the precious lives of hundreds of citizens by educating drivers of oil tankers.” He further said that untrained drivers can cause loss of many precious lives.
Chairman Rana Khalid said that “we ensure every possible coordination and maximum support.”
