LARKANA: People of Lahori Muhalla foiled the attempt of a man to kidnap a daughter of a Sindhi publication’s journalist on Sunday evening.
According to details, the 12-year-old daughter of Mashooque Odhano, bureau chief of Sindhi Daily Kawish in Larkana, was coming back to her house, when a criminal tried to abduct her. The girl started crying, and people of the locality apprehended the culprit and handed over him to Civil Lines Police Station. The accused was identified as Altaf Siyal.
Police have registered the case and started a further probe into it. The criminal’s previous record is also being verified. Police said that accused Siyal was telling them that he is resident of Nazar Muhalla, Larkana.
Talking to PPI, Odhano said that his daughter is a student of class VI.
He said: “Her daughter has told her the same person tried to snatch her schoolbag a day before the current incident, but she ran away.” He said the incident should be investigated that why the kidnapper was targeting his daughter as he had attempted this for two consecutive days.
