ISLAMABAD: A person was killed as a result of a firing by an unknown accused on a car in the jurisdiction of the Sabzi Mandi police station. The deceased was identified as an ex-security guard of former inspector general (IG) Islamabad, Binyamin.
According to sources, firing was opened on a car bearing a Sindh registration plate ‘804’, which resulted in the killing of a person, who was later identified as Siddique, an ex-cop of the Islamabad police.
Siddique’s services were terminated from the police department for patronising anti-social elements. He was a resident of Mansehra and was serving as a security guard at a petrol pump station of former IG Islamabad, Binyamin.
The dead body of the deceased was shifted to the CIA homicide unit in PIMS. According to police sources, the deceased received four bullets. On the other hand, the police are investigating the matter from different aspects.
SHO Sabzi Mandi police station, Sajjad Haider Bukhari has said that the deceased was working as a security guard at a petrol pump, owned by a former IG.
