LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs8588.619 million.
The schemes were approved in a meeting of the PDWP presided over by Planning and Development Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
The approved development schemes include: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Programme in 11 Districts of Multan, Bahawalpur and DG Khan at the cost of Rs6371.384 million, construction of a flyover at Jhal Road Railway crossing to Sahiwal at the cost of Rs580.913 million, rehabilitation and carpeting of Phalia to Sial Mor interchange upto Tahli Adda at the cost of Rs905.322 million, establishment of sports complex in Faisalabad at the cost of Rs500 million and establishment of plant for vaccine production at Food and Mouth Disease Research Centre Lahore at the cost of Rs231 million.
Planning and Development Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning and Development board, concerned provincial secretaries and other senior representatives of the relevant departments also attended the meeting.
