PPP leader says Nawaz Sharif removed legally from PM slot
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in Senate and Pakistan People’s Party leader Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should disclose the secret before the nation.
He said that he (Nawaz) was removed legally from the slot of the prime ministership. “He (Nawaz) has started to ‘blackmail’ the armed forces after his removal from the premiership,” he said, adding that it has become necessary for the former prime minister to disclose the secret before the nation.
Aitzaz said that Nawaz Sharif was issuing such statements to come into power again and to protect himself from an indictment. Advocate of Supreme Court AK Dogar said that the statement the issued by Nawaz Sharif falls in the category of heinous crime.
Former law minister Babar Awan said that Nawaz Sharif took oath as the (former) prime minister to keep all the important matters in secret. “He is using all these tactics to get victory in upcoming general elections,” he said.
Addressing press conference in Lahore, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahirul Qadri asked Nawaz Sharif to disclose the secret before he could suffer cardiac arrest by the pressure of the secrets. “As Nawaz Sharif open the secrets, we will get the opportunity to open secrets against him,” he said.
Commenting on US President Donald Trump statement, Qadri said that US should review its policies instead hurling blames on Pakistan. “US can’t get through in war against terrorism by disappointing and disrespecting allies as no other country can establish peace in Afghanistan except Pakistan.”
On January 03, Nawaz Sharif said that he would present the proof to the nation if secret schemes do not stopped. On Thursday, former president Asif Ali Zardari fired broadside against Nawaz Sharif and advised him to look at himself before accusing others. “We never courted anyone’s support in order to walk the corridors of power. And, I want Nawaz Sharif to make whatever revelations that he wanted to make,” he had said.
