10 outlaws held, hashish, weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Thursday arrested 10 outlaws which also included five alleged drug pushers and recovered a total of 4.8 kg hashish and some weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to the details, Sub-Inspector (SI) Shamas Akbar from Ramana police station arrested Sajjad Khan, Nadeem and Abdullah for possessing 1.2 kg, 500 gm and 1.5 kg hashish respectively. SI Zafar Iqbal and Tariq Rauf from CIA police arrested Abid and Ghani for possessing 1.2 kg and 1.3 kg hashish respectively.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Haneef from Golra police station arrested Khalid Mehmud for having 30 bore pistol, while (SI) Muhammad Niaz nabbed Sikandar Mirza for involvement in aerial firing from a 9 MM pistol. On the other hand, ASI Asif Raza from Golra police station arrested Waseem Arshad for illegally possessing a 30 bore pistol

Cases have been registered against those arrested, and further investigation from them is underway. Senior Superintendent Police Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in their respective areas.
